Dr David Rutherford BSc, MB ChB, FRACGP, DTMH. Clinical Lecturer UWA.

David is currently the Medical Director at the Fremantle clinic. In 2001 he completed the Diploma of Tropical Medicine in Liverpool and his passion for travel has taken him to many parts of the world including Zambia, Zimbabwe, SE Asia, Europe and The Americas. He is a keen scuba diver, specialises in Diving Medicine. and also works as a GP in the paediatric refugee clinic at Princess Margaret Hospital. He somehow finds time to coach children's soccer, play the trumpet in the West Australian Doctors Orchestra and travel overseas with his young family.
Dr John Terry MBBS (Lon) FRACGP

John is passionate about travel and he continues to be inspired by the travelers he meets in the clinic. Although he has travelled extensively through Asia, Central and South America, Africa and India, trekking in Nepal remains one of his favorite subjects. He has worked in Travel Medicine for more than 15years and is particularly interested in groups doing humanitarian work in the developing world. He enjoys public speaking, a good sing song, history and if he wasn't a doctor he would be a writer for lonely planet.
Dr Raphael Beilin MBBS FRACGP

Raphael has worked at the Travel Doctor Fremantle since 1999. His travel experiences include several months working on a Kibbutz in Israel and trips to Asia, North Africa & Europe. Two of his favorite destinations are Borneo and New Zealand. His special interests include travel in SE Asia and the Middle East as well as families travelling together. In his free time he enjoys swimming, cycling, playing the violin and spending time with his young family. Raphael is the only staff member to have successfully escaped from a hijacked plane.
Dr Aidan Perse MBBS FRACGP
Aidan is a locally trained doctor with a longstanding interest in travel. He has worked at The Travel Doctor since 2000 and has travelled predominantly in Asia (including working in an eye camp in India) as well as North Africa, Europe & North America. He has completed a course in travel medicine through the London School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene & his favorite destinations include Laos, Morocco, Mongolia and Iceland. Most recently Aidan has spent time working as a doctor in Ireland, taking the opportunity to travel with his wife and 3 young children and giving him insights into some of the complexities of travel with children.
Dr Michael Crouch MBBS, FRACGP, DCH, DTMDH
An experienced travel medicine physician, Mike completed his diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene in 1997 and has worked at The Travel Doctor Fremantle since 2002. His interest in travel stems from being married to a traveler and he rates travelling overseas with his children, most recently to China, as one of his travelling highlights. He has a particular interest in Church groups travelling on mission trips to developing countries and says his most interesting experience whilst travelling was being in Pakistan during the first Gulf War.
Dr Jenny Ann McLellan MBBS, FRACGP
The Travel Doctor medical staff are thrilled to share their love of travel with their families and Jenny Ann is no exception, being keen to continue travelling with her children. Her past travel experiences include sea kayaking in New Zealand, backpacking in Namibia and Botswana and travel to South America including a trek to Machu Picchu and cruising the Galapagos Islands, which she says were magnificent. She enjoys working in the field of travel medicine and providing advice to keep fellow travelers healthy whilst overseas.
Dr Edwina Allan MBBS, FRACGP
Edwina is interested in all aspects of travel medicine and gets great ideas on where to travel to next, by talking to the travelers she sees here in the Fremantle clinic. Her most recent trips overseas have been to South East Asia, Europe and Africa and she describes her experience of cruising the Zambezi River at sunset, as stunning. When not preparing others for a safe and healthy journey, she enjoys cycling, surfing and snorkeling.
Our Nurses
The Travel Doctor Fremantle nursing staff are highly experienced in the travel medicine field and can give you lots of sound practical advice on how to stay healthy whilst overseas. They are also great at giving vaccinations!
