Clinic Specialities:

Occupational Health & Rehabilitation Services

The Travel Doctor Wollongong is the travel medicine arm of Health for Industry ( part of the H.S.A Group ) in the Wollongong region. The clinic also provides extensive services in occupational health & rehabilitation management.

Health for Industry ( HFI ) is an incorporated Government Business Enterprise (GBE) providing a comprehensive range of work-related health services to clients in both the public & private sector.

Health for Industry provides occupational health services across Australia to help prevent, treat & manage workplace injuries & illness, & specialist medical & allied services to enhance workplace health from recruitment to retirement.

With clinics located in all capitals, & regional centres throughout Australia, Health For Industry utilises the expertise of occupational medicine specialists to maintain health at work & conduct health assessments. This ensures workers achieve better health outcomes with a full range of medical & allied services minutes from their workplace. Employers benefit from significant improvements in overall workplace health outcomes & lower insurance premiums

Services

Injury Treatment & Management

Health for Industry offers acute injury management in many of its clinics, & we are equipped to treat most occupational injuries & illnesses. Injuries are given priority within those clinics which are situated where they are needed, in the heart of industrial hubs or CBD's, & unlike general practice clinics, we only treat workplace & occupational injuries, ensuring the highest level of expertise possible.

We also offer a 'second opinion' service to employers. This is used by some clients every time an employee suffers a work related injury or illness, & on an adhoc basis by other clients. In the majority of cases a second opinion is used to manage rehabilitation & broker a return to work between general practitioners, employees & employers. It is also used to manage employees with non occupational health problems, which may be affecting their work performance.

Health & Fitness Screening

Health & fitness programs are tailored to meet specific Company requirements. This could entail general lifestyle assessments targeting all employees, or executive health screenings to detect the risk of executives developing heart problems. Our aim is to enhance the health of employees by identifying any health problems & advising of ways to improve general health.
